Former boxing champion and star of the hit movie The Hangover, Mike Tyson, has bought a glistening new home in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson.
Sky News Real Estate’s Prue Miller reports that Tyson bought the house for $US2.5 million.
Tyson is back on his financial feet after declaring bankruptcy in 2003, and married for the third time in 2009. The six-bedroom, six-bathroom home features two master bedrooms, a media room, temperature-controlled wine cellar, swimming pool and four-car garage.
There’s also a sweeping marble staircase, stone fireplaces and formal dining room, while outside, manicured gardens feature two ‘casitas’ (out-buildings), one of which is a self-contained apartment.
Tyson and his wife Lakiha Spicer aren’t moving far – their last house was just minutes away in the same suburb.
The home was sold by Ken Lowman, of Luxury Homes of Las Vegas.
